Project Lead – Cost Optimization Initiative

About the role

Save the Children International is launching a global Cost Optimisation Initiative to improve sustainability and maximise resources for children. The Project Lead will steer a high‑profile, enterprise‑wide transformation aimed at delivering 30‑40% structural cost efficiency by 2030 while safeguarding programme quality and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and deliver the Cost Optimisation Project, creating a phased multi‑year roadmap with clear milestones.
• Drive change management, stakeholder adoption and continuous improvement across all support functions.
• Identify, prioritise and implement enterprise‑wide efficiency opportunities, establishing cost baselines and tracking benefits.
• Lead programme governance, oversee workstreams, manage dependencies and ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
• Promote AI, automation, analytics and digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Extensive track record of leading large‑scale organisational transformation and redesign in complex global organisations.
• Significant experience operating within INGOs, federated or multinational matrix environments, influencing senior leaders without direct authority.
