Student Accommodation Administrator

About the role

You will be organised and customer‑focused, providing effective administrative support to the Student Accommodation team. The role involves responding promptly and professionally to student enquiries, maintaining accurate records and administrative systems, arranging meetings, taking minutes and handling more complex queries. You will also help promote accommodation services at Open Days, Applicant Visit Days and other events while ensuring compliance with the University’s Data Protection Policy.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to student enquiries and provide high‑quality customer service.
• Maintain accurate accommodation records, databases and administrative systems.
• Arrange meetings, take minutes and distribute action points.
• Handle complex queries and route them to appropriate departments.
• Support the promotion of housing services at recruitment and outreach events.

Required profile

• Experience using computerised systems, databases, internet and email.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements.
• Strong communication skills with tact and diplomacy.
• Experience in an education or accommodation setting and a degree‑level qualification.
