About the role
Citi is looking for a Vice President‑level Python Risk Developer to join its London Commodities Risk Technology team. You will work on a high‑performance, front‑office risk platform that processes large volumes of market data and supports traders across multiple commodity asset classes.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain fault‑tolerant Python micro‑services that power the risk platform.
- Collaborate with traders, risk managers and quantitative analysts to gather requirements and deliver functional enhancements.
- Integrate pricing models from the Markets Quantitative Analytics team and market data from the Commodities Market Data team.
- Support production operations, including SL3 incident resolution.
- Work closely with global technology teams to ensure seamless deployment on OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
Required profile
- Proven experience building large‑scale, distributed Python applications.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, grid computing and high‑throughput processing.
- Ability to translate business needs from traders and risk managers into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑geography collaboration.
