Quality Assurance Manager - Commercial Mortgages

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Commercial Mortgage QA framework. You will ensure regulatory compliance, drive continuous improvement, and support underwriting excellence across all product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Commercial Mortgage QA framework, aligning processes with regulatory expectations and business risk appetite.
• Develop QA scorecards and produce MI dashboards for managers.
• Conduct regular QA reviews of underwriting files, assessing credit assessments, documentation, and policy adherence.
• Monitor AML, KYC, sanctions, source of wealth/funds, and customer verification requirements.
• Escalate material findings through governance forums and provide feedback/coaching to case management and underwriting teams.
• Produce regular MI and QA reports for senior management.
• Support internal and external audit activities and regulatory reviews.
• Assist in delivering training on underwriting standards, AML, KYC, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality assurance within financial services.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and risk‑based thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Calm, self‑assured, punctual and able to work under pressure.
