About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, patient‑focused Radiotherapy Assistant to join the team at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre. The role supports the therapeutic radiography team by handling clerical, reception and patient‑support tasks within a busy radiotherapy service.

Key responsibilities

Provide front‑desk and reception support for patients attending radiotherapy appointments.
Perform clerical duties such as scheduling, record keeping and data entry.
Assist patients with preparation and comfort throughout their treatment pathway.
Collaborate with radiographers and clinical staff to ensure smooth service delivery.

Required profile

Commitment to equality, diversity and patient‑centred care.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
PVG Scheme membership or willingness to obtain it before starting.

Required skills

Basic clerical and administrative abilities.
Effective communication with patients and staff.
