About the role
AVEVA is looking for a senior R&D professional to join its Common Framework development group in Cambridge. You will help maintain and evolve the functional core that powers several of AVEVA’s flagship engineering products, working in a hybrid environment with a focus on quality and modern software practices.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement new functional features based on Product Owner specifications.
- Analyse, investigate and debug issues reported by internal teams and external customers.
- Promote product quality through automated testing, architectural refactoring and shared best‑practice guidelines.
- Make informed decisions on workload prioritisation to ensure timely delivery.
Required profile
- Strong confidence in one or more of the following languages: C++, Fortran, C#.
- Experience with source‑control systems (Git) and automated build pipelines (Azure DevOps).
- Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Efficient time‑management, a passion for reliable and performant software, and a curiosity for continuous learning.
