About the role

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Finance Solicitor to join a leading national law firm’s dedicated real estate finance team in Birmingham. The role involves advising a diverse client base on high‑profile, complex financing transactions at both national and international level.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to banks, funds, corporate and institutional clients on a range of real estate finance transactions.
• Lead and manage transactions from both lender and borrower perspectives.
• Handle an independent caseload of matters, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery.
• Contribute to business development and the growth of the practice.
• Collaborate closely with the head of department and senior team members.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in real estate finance law.
• Proven ability to manage own caseload and lead transactions.
• Strong background in banking and finance with experience on both lender and borrower sides.
• Demonstrated business development skills.
• Commitment to contributing to a market‑leading practice.
