Reconciliations Clerk – Temporary (6‑8 weeks)

About the role

We are looking for a Reconciliations Clerk to support a growing business in Avonmouth on a short‑term basis. This interim position will focus on clearing backlogs and ensuring daily financial transactions are accurately recorded following a recent systems implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Clear the backlog of pre‑payments (credit‑card and online) in NetSuite.
• Post and reconcile daily pre‑payments from multiple sources, including card processors, cash and banking transactions.
• Manage daily bank transfers and reconcile daily takings with shop managers.
• Reconcile GL merchant processing accounts and assist with main bank account reconciliations.
• Tidy up the backlog of customer refund transactions.
• Liaise with the US team to document processes and help build SOPs and workflows for the UK team.
• Resolve value queries on pre‑pay transactions with internal colleagues.

Required profile

• Effective communicator with strong attention to detail.
• Previous experience in financial reconciliations.
• Ability to work independently on a project after a systems implementation.
• Comfortable liaising with international teams and documenting procedures.

What we offer
