Recruitment and Outreach Officer

About the role
University College Birmingham is expanding its higher‑education and further‑education portfolio and needs a dynamic Recruitment and Outreach Officer to champion its career‑focused courses across schools and colleges in the West Midlands.
Key responsibilities
- Represent UCB at schools, colleges and national recruitment events, delivering engaging presentations and workshops.
- Build and maintain partnerships with teachers, careers advisers and local employers.
- Promote subject master‑classes, campus visits and other student‑experience activities.
- Contribute to regional recruitment growth strategies using data and insight.
- Travel regularly across the West Midlands and occasionally further afield, requiring a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Required profile
- Confident communicator comfortable presenting to large groups.
- Proven ability to develop professional relationships and work towards targets.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage a regional portfolio of schools and colleges.
- Passionate about supporting young people to pursue higher‑education pathways.
