Recruitment Consultant – Accountancy & Finance (Birmingham)

About the role

We are looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join Hays’ award‑winning Accountancy & Finance team in Birmingham. You will work in a high‑performing desk, building relationships with commercial clients and placing candidates in accounts payable, receivable, credit control and part‑qualified accountant positions.

Key responsibilities

• Source, interview and match high‑quality candidates to permanent and temporary finance roles.
• Develop new business through outreach calls and client meetings, understanding hiring needs.
• Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process, from brief taking to offer negotiation.
• Build specialist market expertise in the finance sector and maintain long‑term client relationships.
• Meet and exceed individual and team targets, contributing to Hays’ growth and profitability.

• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a supportive team.
• Interest in finance and accountancy recruitment.
