Regional Business Development Manager – West Midlands

About the role

We are looking for a commercially driven Regional Business Development Manager to expand our employer partnerships across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. The role focuses on generating employment, apprenticeship and training opportunities while supporting businesses and learners to achieve their workforce goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with employers, industry partners and key regional stakeholders.
• Identify and create employment, apprenticeship and commercial training opportunities that align with business growth and learner progression.
• Analyse employer workforce needs, recruitment challenges and skills gaps to deliver tailored solutions.
• Achieve and exceed performance targets for employer engagement, job outcomes, apprenticeship starts and business development activity.
• Promote apprenticeship programmes, workforce development initiatives and commercial training services to employers.
• Lead business development activities including networking, presentations, proposals, negotiations and account management.
• Collaborate with operational teams to match suitable candidates and learners with opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of engagement activity, labour‑market intelligence and performance data using CRM systems.

Required profile

• Proven track record in employer engagement, business development, account management, recruitment or B2B sales.
• Experience working in a target‑driven environment and consistently meeting performance objectives.
• Strong ability to build and sustain relationships with employers, stakeholders and decision‑makers.
• Experience identifying and delivering recruitment, workforce development or training solutions.
