Regional EHS Leader – EMEA

About the role

The Regional EHS Leader for EMEA will shape and execute the environmental health, safety and sustainability (EHS&S) strategy across Johnson & Johnson’s orthopaedics business, soon to become the independent DePuy Synthes company. Reporting to senior leadership, you will guide EHS&S governance, risk management and performance for manufacturing, R&D, facilities and commercial operations throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the EHS&S strategic roadmap for the EMEA region.
• Lead governance structures, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.
• Assess and mitigate regional EHS&S risks across all business units.
• Partner with manufacturing, R&D, and commercial teams to embed EHS&S into operational decisions.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the transition to DePuy Synthes, aligning EHS&S processes with the new organization.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in EHS&S within a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks across EMEA.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and change‑management skills.
