Regional Health Care Support Worker (B3)

About the role

The Regional Health Care Support Worker (B3) role is based within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Regional Services. You will provide person‑centred care to patients across a range of specialties, including renal, burns and plastic surgery, spinal and oncology units. The position is full‑time (36 hours per week) with flexible shift patterns discussed at interview.

Key responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with daily patient care activities, including personal hygiene, feeding and mobility support.
• Deliver compassionate care to patients in renal, burns, spinal and oncology departments.
• Observe and promptly report any changes in patient condition to the clinical team.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in line with infection‑control policies.
• Support patients’ emotional wellbeing and encourage independence where possible.
