Registered Manager – Adult Social Care

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead our CQC‑regulated adult social care service in Birmingham. You will be responsible for ensuring high‑quality care for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs while maintaining full compliance with regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage day‑to‑day operations, ensuring CQC compliance and successful inspection outcomes.
- Oversee safeguarding, investigations, serious incident handling and risk management.
- Develop and manage budgets, financial performance and occupancy targets.
- Recruit, coach, supervise and develop staff, handling performance, disciplinary and capability processes.
- Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, Integrated Care Boards, commissioners and multidisciplinary teams.
- Implement quality‑assurance systems, continuous improvement programmes and service development initiatives.
- Utilise electronic care planning and incident‑management systems to monitor service delivery.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years management experience in a CQC‑regulated adult social care setting.
- Previous role as Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or Service Manager within Supported Living or Learning Disabilities services.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or equivalent) and eligibility to register with the CQC.
- Full UK driving licence, enhanced DBS clearance and right to work in the UK.
- Strong knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act, CQC Fundamental Standards, Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding legislation and related frameworks.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience using electronic care management and incident‑recording systems.
