Registered Nurse/Midwife – Fertility/IVF Specialist

About the role

Care Fertility is looking for a Registered Nurse or Midwife to join its Manchester team and specialise in fertility and IVF care. You will support patients throughout their treatment journey, providing clinical care, information and emotional support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide information, advice and emotional support to patients undergoing fertility treatments.
• Coordinate treatment cycle plans and coach patients to self‑administer fertility medications.
• Deliver pre‑ and post‑theatre care and clinic support for patients.
• Perform venepuncture, interpret blood results and conduct basic patient assessments.
• Assist in theatre procedures including egg collections, embryo transfers, IUI and HyCoSy.
• Prepare theatre and ward areas and maintain the resuscitation trolley.

Required profile

• Qualified Adult Nurse (Degree/Diploma) or Midwife with current NMC registration.
• Post‑registration experience in an acute hospital setting (newly qualified applicants are welcome).
• Team‑player with a strong passion for patient care and personal development.
• Desirable experience: gynaecology/obstetrics, prescribing, theatre work, venepuncture, ultrasound scanning.

Required skills

• Venepuncture and cannulation (training provided).
• Basic patient assessment and pre‑treatment consultations.
• Theatre assistance for egg collection, embryo transfer, IUI and HyCoSy.
• Preparation of theatre/ward areas and resuscitation trolley maintenance.

What we offer

• Permanent contract, 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Saturday with on‑call and Bank Holiday duties.
• Salary starting from £32,000 FTE per annum, dependent on experience.
