Regulatory & Scientific Affairs Specialist (Pet Food)

About the role

We are recruiting a Regulatory & Scientific Affairs Specialist to join Nestlé Purina’s Supply Chain team in Crawley. The role ensures compliant product labelling and communications for the UK & Ireland pet‑food market, supporting launches, innovations and renovations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure product labels, packaging, veterinary manuals and off‑pack communications comply with UK & EU regulations, FEDIAF guidelines and Nestlé policies.
• Review and approve label specification sheets and artwork content.
• Provide regulatory guidance on product claims, labelling and marketing communications.
• Coach marketing and brand teams on approval processes and a “First Time Right” approach.
• Support innovation and renovation projects, and manage consumer‑related regulatory enquiries.

Required profile

• Experience in regulatory affairs within pet food, food, feed or a related regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of UK & EU pet‑food labelling requirements.
• Proven ability to review product labels, claims, packaging and marketing materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UK & EU pet‑food regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with FEDIAF guidelines and food safety requirements.
• Ability to interpret and apply label specification standards.
