Regulatory Solicitor – Up to 4 years PQE (Manchester)

About the role

The Legists is seeking a motivated Regulatory Solicitor to join its growing Manchester team. You will work on a varied caseload of regulatory matters, supporting both contentious and non‑contentious issues for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on regulatory investigations, inquests, health and safety, and environmental compliance.
• Prepare and manage documentation for regulatory hearings and tribunals.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent clients in contentious proceedings.
• Provide proactive risk assessments and guidance to minimise future regulatory exposure.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with up to 4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Demonstrated technical expertise in regulatory law, including health & safety and environmental matters.
• Strong criminal or advocacy background, with at least one seat in criminal defence or regulatory law for newly qualified solicitors.
• Passion for specialising in regulatory practice and ability to work within a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Regulatory law knowledge (health & safety, environmental, inquests).
• Advocacy and litigation experience.
