Residential Conveyancer – New Homes, £55k+ (DOE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join our New Homes and Residential Conveyancing team in Devon. You will manage your own caseload, work directly with clients, and play a key part in delivering high‑quality new‑build property transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for a varied residential property caseload, focusing on new‑build developments and plot sales.
• Review legal documentation for developments, identify early issues, and prepare enquiries and reports to support subsequent purchases.
• Handle individual plot transactions and related residential sales as required.
• Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and external professionals to ensure smooth, timely progress, often under demanding exchange deadlines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and professional contacts to support department growth.
• Contribute ideas and initiatives that improve processes, service delivery, and business development.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in residential conveyancing, ideally with new‑homes and plot sales exposure.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organisational skills and the capacity to prioritise effectively under tight deadlines.
• Clear, professional communication with clients and team members.
• Team‑oriented mindset while being capable of working autonomously.
