Restaurant Team Leader

About the role

As a Restaurant Team Leader you will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional dining experience across our Dobbies restaurants. You will lead a team of Customer Advisors, ensure food hygiene standards are met, and support the management team in daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and support staff, deputising for managers when they are absent.
• Provide excellent customer service, handling transactions and addressing queries.
• Oversee station coverage, maintain staff efficiency and uphold high service standards.
• Drive sales through customer interaction and promote Dobbies Club membership.
• Ensure compliance with restaurant operational procedures and food safety standards.
• Assist customers with product knowledge, including allergies and dietary requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and overall upkeep of the restaurant.
• Perform keyholder duties as required.

Required profile

• Passion for food, hospitality and delivering a great customer experience.
• Previous experience in a customer‑facing role with supervisory responsibilities.
• Reliability, punctuality and a professional appearance.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to Dobbies values – teamwork, continuous improvement and a smile.

Required skills

• Food safety knowledge (qualifications advantageous but not essential).
