Retail Supervisor – Part‑time (20 hrs/week)

About the role

Farmfoods is seeking a part‑time Retail Supervisor to join its Yardley store in Birmingham. Working a minimum of 20 hours per week, you will support the store manager and help ensure smooth daily operations while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the manager in leading the team and maintaining store efficiency.
• Run the shop in the manager’s absence, including opening and closing duties.
• Handle cash, process transactions and manage till reconciliation.
• Place orders, receive deliveries and ensure timely stock replenishment.
• Develop and coach retail assistants, fostering a positive team environment.
• Control operational costs, monitor shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Maintain a safe, clean and tidy store environment.

Required profile

• Friendly, positive and hard‑working attitude.
• People‑person with strong relationship‑building skills.
• Trustworthy and reliable, able to work independently.
• Previous experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or a similar sector is advantageous.
• Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check.
