Safety Specialist Internship

About the role

Amazon Operations is seeking a Safety Specialist Intern to support the safety of its fulfilment centres across the UK. The role offers a hands‑on experience in developing and maintaining safe work environments while working alongside experienced safety engineers and managers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Safety New Build Manager and Safety Engineer in implementing safety processes for new launches.
• Support safety systems by participating in inspections of buildings, machinery and work tasks.
• Perform and update Risk Assessments and Job Hazard Analyses.
• Analyse accident data, develop preventive standards and contribute to accident investigations.
• Prepare accident reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Help develop safety procedures and deliver training programmes for managers and associates.
• Potentially relocate to the assigned work location.

Required profile

• Ambitious, curious and versatile university student.
• Strong analytical, organisational and interpersonal abilities.
• Effective communicator with a high internal‑customer service mindset.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including senior management.
