Sales Executive – Venue & Event Sales

About the role

De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms is looking for a dynamic Sales Executive to drive new business for its meeting and event facilities in London. You will work closely with the Director of Sales, using telesales, networking and account management to build a robust pipeline of corporate conferences, day meetings and transient accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities across identified sectors.
• Source new accounts and contacts, focusing on conferences, day meetings and corporate clients.
• Conduct proactive outreach, cold‑calling and research to generate leads.
• Arrange and lead on‑site or off‑site appointments to showcase the venue.
• Assist in developing and implementing a proactive sales strategy for the UK market.
• Support the Director of Sales with key projects and campaigns.

Required profile

• Previous sales experience in hospitality, hotels or event venues.
• Proactive approach to meeting and exceeding targets.
• Comfortable with telesales and cold calling.
• Demonstrated ability to generate and convert a sales pipeline.
• Excellent organisation, presentation and communication skills.
