Scientific Content Specialist

About the role

As a Scientific Content Specialist in MDPI’s Manchester office, you will join the global Corporate Communications team to design and deliver content strategies that engage scientific audiences. You will work on a variety of communication formats, including articles, podcasts, and media relations, to strengthen the publisher’s brand worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute always‑on and major campaign content across blog, social media, video and podcast formats.
• Research and generate multi‑channel ideas that align with campaign objectives and MDPI’s brand.
• Publish, share and promote content on relevant platforms, ensuring timely delivery.
• Create at least four blog posts per month and support SEO and performance tracking.
• Participate in team meetings covering workload planning, SEO, content strategy and metrics.
• Review peer‑submitted articles as part of the editorial process.
• Undertake additional communications and content‑related tasks as required.

Required profile

• PhD in any discipline.
• Minimum 2 years experience creating or coordinating content in a business environment.
• Native‑level English proficiency; additional languages are a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft O365.
• Understanding of key social‑media platforms for business use.
