About the role
Reed Education is recruiting a Humanities Teacher for a secondary school in Northampton, starting September 2026. The school offers a supportive environment, strong leadership and a focus on both student achievement and staff development.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging Humanities lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Create inclusive, stimulating learning environments that cater to diverse abilities.
- Monitor student progress, provide feedback and report achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
Required profile
- Previous experience teaching Humanities in a UK secondary school.
- Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, RE or related disciplines.
- Effective classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love of learning.
- QTS desirable but not essential; willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
Required skills
- Subject expertise in Humanities (History, Geography, Religious Education, etc.).
- Lesson planning and assessment proficiency.
- Ability to differentiate instruction.
- Collaborative teamwork.
