Security Engineering Manager

About the role

Thought Machine is building the bank of tomorrow and needs a Security Engineering Manager to lead a talented team in delivering secure services and platforms. You will combine product ownership with hands‑on technical work to shape the security engineering roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with your team to define and deliver the security engineering roadmap.
• Participate actively in technical discussions and design reviews.
• Measure your team’s impact and contribute to product strategy.
• Drive engineering‑wide initiatives such as recruitment and process improvements.
• Collaborate with other Thought Machine teams with trust and influence.
• Develop engineers in your team and support their career growth.
• Lead by example through code reviews and hands‑on technical work.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience managing product‑aligned engineering teams.
• Technical background to drive decisions and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining security for modern stacks (AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, Go/Python).
• Comfortable wearing different Engineering Manager hats as the team evolves.
