Senior Accountant – Birmingham

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Senior Accountant to join our Birmingham office. You will work hands‑on preparing year‑end accounts and tax returns for a diverse portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, within a technology‑driven, close‑knit team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Produce tax returns using IRIS and TaxCalc.
• Utilise cloud‑based accounting platforms such as Xero and QuickBooks.
• Support clients throughout the accounting cycle and develop strong relationships.
• Collaborate with the director and senior team members to drive service quality.

Required profile

• ACCA or AAT qualified.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
• Proven experience preparing accounts and tax for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
