Senior Affordable Housing Solicitor (6+ PQE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Affordable Housing Solicitor to join a leading national law firm’s Housing, Development & Regeneration team in Birmingham. The role involves providing commercial‑focused legal advice on high‑value affordable housing projects for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Advise registered providers, investors and developers on acquisitions, disposals and Section 106 transactions.
• Draft and negotiate development agreements, grant funding arrangements and joint‑venture documentation.
• Support corporate and finance teams on institutional investment structures.
• Collaborate with planning, construction, tax and corporate colleagues to deliver integrated solutions.
• Maintain and develop long‑term client relationships across the affordable housing sector.

Required profile

• Minimum six years PQE in affordable housing, residential development or commercial property.
• Strong commercial awareness and technical competence in real‑estate transactions.
• Proactive, ambitious and able to contribute to practice growth.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Qualified solicitor admitted in England & Wales.
