Senior Building Surveyor – Hybrid, Manchester

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious Senior Building Surveyor to join our Manchester team on a hybrid basis. The role involves delivering high‑quality client‑focused surveying services across the North West, managing projects from inception to completion and contributing to RLB’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Project management and commission oversight.
• Acting as Contract Administrator and Employer’s Agent.
• Design and specification writing.
• Conducting pre‑acquisition surveys and producing PPM and asset condition schedules.
• Quality and technical monitoring, including bank/fund monitoring.
• Defects diagnosis, dilapidations and Party Wall Awards.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related technical discipline.
• MRICS membership or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects proactively.
• Strong commercial focus with a track record of delivering client‑service excellence.
• Experience in CDM/Health & Safety and working with JCT contracts.
• Previous consultancy experience and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
