Senior Buyer – Technology Procurement (Hybrid, Manchester)

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position supports the separation of a key business unit and drives technology transformation initiatives within a leading cybersecurity organisation. Based in Manchester with hybrid working, the Senior Buyer will manage complex technology procurement activities and influence strategic sourcing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end procurement for technology and cybersecurity products, including software licences and cloud services.
• Negotiate and draft contracts that address licensing terms, service level agreements, data privacy, IP rights and cybersecurity compliance.
• Collaborate with legal, data protection, IT, finance and technical teams to shape sourcing strategies.
• Assess and mitigate supplier risks related to security threats and regulatory requirements.
• Increase spend under management and deliver measurable value through effective supplier engagement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technology or cybersecurity procurement, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.
• Strong understanding of software licensing models, cloud SLAs and data protection regulations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑moving, transformation‑focused environment.
