Senior Care Assistant – Night Shift

About the role

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant to join our award‑winning team on night shifts. You will work closely with the care team to deliver high‑quality personal care in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor resident wellbeing, identify changes, and update care plans and records accordingly.
• Participate in person‑centred care planning, implement care plans, and conduct monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication requirements and ensure safe administration.
• Provide supervision and development support to junior staff as needed.
• Act as a primary contact for residents, families, visitors, and health‑social care professionals, handling requests, concerns, and complaints.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar residential care setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, caring attitude toward residents and staff.
• Flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities during night shifts.
