Senior Civil Infrastructure Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Civil Infrastructure Technician to join a design‑focused consultancy in Glasgow. You will take a lead role in delivering roads, drainage and earthworks designs for a variety of sectors, working closely with engineers and directors in a collaborative, office‑based environment that also offers flexibility when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed roads, drainage and earthworks drawings and 3D models using Civil 3D.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and design calculations.
• Support BIM processes and contribute to design coordination and clash detection.
• Perform quality control on all drawing and model outputs.
• Attend client and multidisciplinary design team meetings.
• Mentor junior technicians and help develop the team.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of experience in a civil engineering design environment.
• Strong background in roads, drainage and infrastructure detailing.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality technical output.
• Motivation to progress professionally and pursue further qualifications.

Required skills

• Civil 3D
• Autodesk software suite
• MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage
• BIM and clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks)
