Senior Conversational Designer

About the role

Barclays is seeking a Senior Conversational Designer to lead the evolution of its digital customer experience. You will own the Conversational Assistant and AI function, driving innovation across chat, self‑service and fallout‑prevention solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver Conversational Banking services, including chat, self‑service and fallout prevention.
• Shape the model team structure for AI/ML, advanced data analysis and conversational technology.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate search and virtual‑assistant capabilities.
• Champion user‑focused interaction design and ensure alignment with digital strategy.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in conversation design with a proven track record of engaging, user‑centric interactions.
• Strong cross‑functional communication and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and a customer‑obsessed mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Practical experience with AI/ML technologies applied to conversational solutions.
• Data‑driven decision‑making and advanced data analysis.
