Senior Corporate Lawyer – Lead a Team in Manchester

About the role

We are seeking a senior corporate lawyer to lead our Manchester office and build a dedicated team. The role offers exposure to a strong pipeline of mid‑market and SME transactions, including owner‑managed businesses, large corporates and private‑equity‑backed clients. You will be involved across the full deal lifecycle in a supportive, high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Manchester corporate practice and recruit/mentor junior lawyers.
• Manage a robust pipeline of M&A, restructuring and private‑equity transactions.
• Provide commercially focused advice throughout the entire deal process.
• Collaborate closely with senior dealmakers and external intermediaries.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with post‑qualification experience in M&A.
• Proven track record handling mid‑market and SME transactions.
• Ability to take ownership, lead a team and develop client relationships.
