Senior Cyber Underwriter – Manchester

About the role

IPS Group is partnering with a global insurer to recruit a Senior Cyber Underwriter for their Manchester team. You will act as a trusted technical expert, driving profitable growth and shaping the cyber insurance portfolio in a fast‑evolving risk landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal cyber risks within agreed authority levels and guidelines.
• Meet individual underwriting targets and contribute to the team’s financial objectives.
• Develop and maintain strong broker relationships, identifying new opportunities across the region.
• Analyse submissions, financial data, claims history and broader exposures to assess risk quality.
• Support cyber product development, thought‑leadership initiatives and underwriting strategy.
• Provide technical guidance to junior underwriters and share market insights.

Required profile

• Current underwriting experience, preferably focused on cyber or technology packages.
• Proven ability to step up to senior‑level responsibilities or existing senior underwriters seeking a new challenge.
• Strong commercial acumen and a proactive, client‑focused approach.
