Senior Data Scientist – Startup (Equity + £70k)

About the role
We are partnering with an ambitious start‑up that provides affordable, flexible loans. As the first Data Science hire, you will own the development and deployment of machine‑learning models that drive credit‑risk decisions across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build and deploy credit‑risk models end‑to‑end.
- Maintain and optimise data pipelines and model monitoring in AWS.
- Collaborate with product, engineering and business teams to integrate ML solutions.
- Analyse loan performance data to continuously improve model accuracy.
Required profile
- Proven experience in lending, loans, insurance or credit‑risk environments.
- Track record of delivering production‑ready credit risk models.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑moving start‑up with full ownership of deliverables.

What we offer
- Base salary up to £70,000 per year.
