Senior Domestic / Agricultural Adjuster

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Domestic / Agricultural Adjuster to manage a portfolio of domestic and agricultural insurance claims valued up to £250,000. The position operates across the North West of England, covering Lancashire and Cheshire, and serves as the nominated adjuster for key client accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and settle domestic property, contents and personal possession claims.
• Handle agricultural and estate claims, ensuring accurate valuation and compliance with policy terms.
• Maintain a high‑value claims portfolio (up to £250,000) across the North West region.
• Conduct site visits, liaise with loss adjusters and coordinate with legal teams where required.
• Prepare detailed claim reports, provide clear recommendations to underwriting and client teams, and negotiate settlements.
• Monitor claim progress, maintain accurate records and uphold regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in insurance adjusting, preferably with both domestic and agricultural lines.
• Ability to manage a high‑value claims portfolio independently.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as CII or CILA are desirable but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) standards.
• Knowledge of CILA (Chartered Insurance Law Association) standards.
