Senior Electrical Building Services Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join a well‑established consultancy in Manchester. The role offers hybrid working (two days a week from home) and a clear progression path towards associate or director level, supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, industrial, retail, stadia and data‑centre projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical building services projects from concept through to completion.
• Produce high‑quality design documentation and specifications.
• Manage client relationships and ensure project requirements are met.
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the team.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across various sectors.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in building services design.
• Membership or progression towards MCIBSE/IET.
• Proven experience leading projects and mentoring staff.
• Strong client‑facing and communication abilities.
