Senior Finance Business Partner

About the role

Axon Moore is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join a fast‑paced, private‑equity‑backed business. You will act as a trusted commercial finance partner to C‑suite stakeholders, providing insight, challenging performance and supporting strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership and C‑suite to deliver strategic financial support and commercial insight.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning across key functions.
• Provide analysis for strategic decision‑making, investment appraisal and performance monitoring.
• Develop robust financial models to support forecasting, commercial initiatives and growth plans.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Challenge assumptions and forecasts to improve decision quality.
• Support business case development for strategic projects and investments.
• Produce high‑quality reporting and presentations for Executive and Board meetings.
• Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, reporting and planning.
• Mentor junior finance team members and contribute to finance transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Manager or FP&A professional.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and strategic planning.
• Comfort presenting financial information to Executive and Board audiences.
• Highly analytical with excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive, commercially minded and confident in challenging business performance.
• Experience in a fast‑growth, high‑pace environment; private‑equity background advantageous but not essential.
