Senior Financial Accountant – UK Finance Lead

About the role

This senior finance position sits within a global marketing agency’s UK finance team. You will act as a bridge between financial operations and day‑to‑day business activities, driving reporting excellence and supporting the growth of a multi‑entity group. The role is initially on a contract basis with the potential to become permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Own the UK month‑end close, delivering accurate UK/US GAAP financial statements and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Partner with business leaders to provide financial insight, manage budgets and resolve operational challenges.
• Lead daily finance operations, supervise the team, standardise workflows and automate manual tasks.
• Manage audit readiness, maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with global reporting standards.

Required profile

• ACA (or equivalent) qualified with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience in multi‑entity agency or project‑based finance environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of both UK GAAP and US GAAP.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• NetSuite experience (highly desirable).
• Expertise in UK GAAP.
• Expertise in US GAAP.
