Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Shield AI is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers on the implementation and integration of its Hivemind enterprise autonomy software. The role combines hands‑on technical work, customer training, and feedback loops to improve the product suite.

Key responsibilities

• Become an expert user of the Hivemind Enterprise Autonomy SDK and develop AI & autonomy applications for unmanned platforms.
• Deploy Hivemind AI infrastructure at customer sites and provide on‑site technical training.
• Assist customers in integrating Hivemind autonomy into their vehicles, troubleshooting software and API issues.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback and enhance the platform.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and support the sales team with complex technical queries.
• Travel to customer locations up to 30% of the time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 4 years of industry experience in software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ development and intermediate proficiency in Python.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
