About the role

Join a leading global investment bank’s rapidly expanding London electronic trading engineering team. As a Senior Java Low Latency Developer you will help build the next generation of high‑performance trading platforms that serve multiple asset classes across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise low‑latency Java applications for electronic trading.
• Build and enhance pricing, market‑data and execution infrastructure.
• Improve platform scalability, resilience and overall performance.
• Collaborate with traders, quantitative analysts and business stakeholders to deliver high‑impact features.
• Work on highly distributed, performance‑critical systems and refine execution algorithms.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Java development within front‑office, high‑performance environments.
• Proven track record delivering low‑latency, multithreaded and concurrent software.
• Strong understanding of electronic trading concepts and asset‑class specifics (rates, equities, etc.).
• Ability to work closely with traders and quantitative teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
