About the role
We are seeking a Senior Legal Cashier to join a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed law firm on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role involves managing a high volume of client and office account transactions while ensuring compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules.
Key responsibilities
- Process 500‑1,000 legal cashiering transactions each month.
- Oversee the wider cashiering workload and meet all deadlines.
- Handle client and office account transactions, supporting reconciliations, payments and banking.
- Maintain strong financial controls and accuracy across the cashiering function.
- Ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules.
- Collaborate closely with the finance team and fee earners.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in legal cashiering.
- Strong knowledge of legal cashiering processes and SRA Accounts Rules.
- Experience in a busy, high‑volume law firm environment.
- Previous experience supervising or supporting junior cashiers.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and take ownership.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
