Senior Legal Counsel – Power and Infrastructure Projects

About the role

This senior legal counsel position is with a Fortune 500 engineering and technology group that is expanding its European power infrastructure business. Based in London within the Europe Power Cable Legal Team, you will report directly to the Head of Legal and support major international power cable projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead negotiations of complex EPC contracts from tender stage through execution.
• Advise on and negotiate project documentation, including submarine and terrestrial cable contracts, installation agreements, and subcontract arrangements.
• Support tendering, project delivery and commercial decision‑making across the power cable division.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) or lawyer from a common‑law jurisdiction.
• 10+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong experience negotiating high‑value commercial contracts.
• Direct exposure to EPC projects in power, energy, utilities, construction or major infrastructure, especially offshore/subsea.
• Knowledge of FIDIC and/or NEC contracts.
