Senior Management Accountant – Band 7

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based at the Kirkintilloch Health and Care Centre and reports to the Principal Finance Manager. The Senior Management Accountant will deliver comprehensive financial management services for Specialist Children’s Services and the wider East Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Provide an effective, responsive financial management service to the partnership.
• Fulfil statutory financial obligations and produce monthly and annual financial reports.
• Support transformation and service redesign projects across health and social care.
• Assist development of services funded by Scottish Government investment.
• Maintain and develop financial systems to ensure financial integrity.
• Manage budgets of approximately £55.8 million for Specialist Children’s Services and £173 million for the wider partnership.
• Line‑manage Management Accountants within the finance team.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• CCAB‑qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
• Strong financial management and reporting expertise.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Proven experience of leading and managing finance staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively across professional disciplines.
