Senior Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Relocate to Wiltshire

About the role

Join a leading UK manufacturer at a highly automated production facility. As a Senior Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for keeping complex PLC‑controlled lines, robotics and material‑handling equipment running. The role is based in the West Midlands with relocation to Wiltshire and works on a 4‑on/4‑off rotating shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical and mechanical fault‑finding during breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults across PLCs, automation, robotics and process‑control equipment.
• Perform planned and preventative maintenance on conveyors, motors, pumps, drives, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Investigate recurring faults and implement root‑cause solutions.
• Support equipment modifications, installations and improvement projects.
• Use the site CMMS to manage work orders, maintenance schedules and asset history.
• Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Work closely with Production to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior maintenance role within a highly automated manufacturing environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems quickly and accurately.
• Strong analytical mindset for root‑cause investigation.
• Comfortable working on rotating day and night shifts.
• Effective communication to collaborate with production teams.
