Senior Network Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our growing infrastructure team in Birmingham. The role blends hands‑on technical support with the delivery of strategic network projects, allowing you to work with the latest networking technologies and shape our cloud networking and automation roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Provide 3rd‑line support and act as the escalation point for networking issues.
• Deliver network refresh, upgrade and migration projects.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Fortinet and Cisco technologies.
• Monitor network performance, capacity and security.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve resilience, performance and automation.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud and Security teams on strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong enterprise networking experience in both operational support and project delivery.
• Hands‑on expertise with Fortinet and Cisco networking solutions.
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, LAN/WAN and network security.
• Experience in complex enterprise environments.
