Senior North American Property Account Executive (Open Market)

About the role

This senior, client‑facing position is based in London and focuses on North American open market property risks. You will work within a collaborative, technically strong environment handling high‑value international business.

Key responsibilities

• Place and service North American open market property risks, managing the full risk lifecycle from underwriting submissions to policy documentation and endorsements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters and market representatives, providing technical guidance and resolving queries.
• Produce MRC slips, invoices and related documentation, maintain accurate electronic files and complete all required compliance and regulatory checks.
• Support business development, assist in structuring complex programmes and innovative risk‑transfer solutions.
• Operate in a paper‑less environment, managing workflow, budgets, financial reporting and regulatory awareness (FCA, Contract Certainty, international standards).
• Mentor junior team members, encourage cross‑team collaboration and ensure adherence to company policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior Account Executive or similar role within the London insurance market.
• Strong technical expertise in North American open market property business.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
• Confident, client‑focused communicator with strong interpersonal and written abilities.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
