Senior PLC Engineer

About the role

Cognizant is looking for an experienced PLC Engineer to join its automation team. This hybrid position offers an attractive salary and benefits package and will focus on designing, maintaining and troubleshooting control systems for GMP‑regulated sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage development of DCS, PLC and SCADA systems in line with industry standards and GAMP5.
• Design, develop, maintain and troubleshoot automated systems on‑site promptly.
• Provide project support, including coding, design, testing and Installation Qualification (IOQ) assistance.
• Support on‑site Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Initiate, implement and qualify proactive site changes and small projects.
• Coordinate tasks to ensure timely delivery.
• Produce monthly reports on completed tasks and support activities.
• Participate in the on‑call support team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of automation experience in a GMP environment.
• Proven experience with Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley PLCs.
