Senior Project Manager – Learning & Development

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing learning and development organisation to hire a Senior Project Manager. Based in Birmingham with a hybrid schedule, you will lead the delivery of large‑scale L&D programmes for high‑profile clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale learning & development programmes.
• Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and delivery timelines.
• Work closely with Account Managers to ensure seamless client delivery.
• Take ownership of key client accounts and stakeholder relationships where required.
• Monitor project progress, risks, issues, and key milestones using internal systems.
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency across all programme outputs.
• Produce clear and timely reporting, updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of project delivery processes and ways of working.
• Occasional travel within the UK (approximately once per month) and very occasional international travel.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project or programme management within a client‑facing environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident working across cross‑functional teams and managing competing priorities.
• Experience within learning & development, training, professional services, healthcare, pharma or similar sectors is advantageous.
