Senior Recovery Specialist – Cyber Incident Response

About the role

Cypfer is seeking a Senior Recovery Specialist to join its Cyber Incident Remediation and Restoration (CIRRT) team. You will lead incident response engagements, rebuild compromised infrastructures and ensure rapid, high‑quality recovery for Fortune‑1000 clients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver cybersecurity incident response and restoration engagements, including live response, triage, containment and remediation.
• Perform system, network and application rebuild and restoration activities for compromised environments.
• Lead client engagements, act as a technical role‑model and mentor junior consultants.
• Collaborate with management to select, evaluate and evolve security tools and support new service offerings.

Required profile

• 7+ years of senior technical support, system administration or related customer‑facing experience.
• Proven ability to work independently, travel internationally on short notice and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical, organizational and leadership capabilities, with a focus on revenue generation.

Required skills

• Active Directory design and troubleshooting.
• VMware ESX / Hyper‑V configuration and troubleshooting.
• Network routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP) and services (DHCP, DNS, VPN, IPv4/IPv6).
• L2/L3 switch design, VLANs and port security.
• Enterprise wireless (Cisco, Aruba, FortiNet) and firewalls (Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, Check Point, Palo Alto, FortiNet, Cisco Meraki).
• Network traffic capture and analysis.
• Windows server/workstation administration and hardware platforms (NAS, SAN, servers).
• Linux/Unix troubleshooting and Macintosh/Apple OS X support.
